A cystoscopy is a diagnostic procedure that lets the urologist look directly inside the urethra and bladder using a slim, flexible scope with a light and camera at its tip.

It is one of the most valuable tools in urology because it answers questions that imaging alone cannot — identifying the cause of blood in the urine, recurrent infections, difficulty urinating, or other bladder symptoms with direct visual evidence.
